There was no video, so I could not read body language. There were nine questions in total that were clearly scripted in order for all candidates to receive the same questions. It was exactly 30 minutes in length, and I was cut off at the 30-minute mark exactly when I was in the middle of asking one of my questions. It all felt very distanced and impersonal. At least on camera I could read body language to see if I was meeting their expectations, but they were very pointed in not using video. There was zero feedback, agreement, etc. but rather just moving on to the next question after I finished each answer.
I feel like my answers were thorough and represented my professional experiences and skill set, but this is the first time I've walked away from a job interview where I have no idea how to feel. It felt like speaking to a wall. And I really, really want this job.
