I know many companies have used Applicant Tracking Systems to evaluate candidates. But I also heard that practice was losing popularity because they were missing so many good candidates. I have a plain .txt version of my resume, plus a "pretty" Word version. The Word version does seem to populate most fields correctly so maybe it's okay to keep using that one? The ATS one is not very attractive without the formatting and I'd hate for HR or a hiring manager to try to read it.
Looking for advice about which resume formats to submit when you only can submit one. If it matters, I'm a 30 year Marketing Professional. Thank you!
