any life coaches just starting off or willing to charge me 50 per 1 hour visit ? I don’t need a package deal and I don’t have any time lines .courses don’t work for me either . I just want a one on one talking session similar to therapy . Just need someone to help me keep on track of my goals .I’m pretty easy going and I don’t think I will be a complex client in terms of needs .

Could you share your best tips for handling meeting disruptors?
Hi all, I’m heading into an internal team meeting next week (around 10 people) where we have a tight agenda and lots of important topics to discuss. There is one attendee who is notorious for interrupting, talking over people, and going off on side topics and taking the whole team with him. Due to his position there’s no option to un-invite him or to talk to his boss. And he DOES have good and valid input, sometimes. But I need strategies to help rein him in or redirect when things go off course. I want to get ahead of it and address it before the meeting but it’s a very, very tricky situation due to politics. Any suggestions?

I'm a psychologist (female) who is trying to lose about 75 lbs.
I have an interview next week with a hospital-based weight loss program for people who aren’t eligible for insurance-covered weight loss surgery.
I just learned that weight is NOT a protected class and am concerned about being overweight (I am 6’ tall and look larger vs. “fat.’ ).
I get that the organization may want to hire someone fit who people can aspire to look like; on the other hand I have much empathy and compassion, know that the struggle is real and just how challenging weight loss can be.
I am also on my own (I’ve lost 12 lbs so far on exercise and a plant-based diet). I guess the worst possible outcome is that I go to the interview, feel awkward and don’t get an offer. Thoughts?

Have I been ghosted by the hiring
I recently applied for a Business Manager position on LinkedIn that involves relocating. After a brief 15-minute interview with the hiring manager, I received an email indicating they weren't moving forward with my candidacy. However, shortly after, I got another message from the same person, acknowledging it was a mistake and expressing interest in scheduling the next interview with their client and me.
Fast forward a week, and I hadn't heard anything, so I decided to follow up. Now, it's been two to three weeks with no response, and I've noticed they've reposted the job on LinkedIn.
I'm really passionate about this position and would love to join the team. Any advice on what steps I should take next? I'm feeling a bit lost in this rollercoaster of a process.

What is the likelihood of getting the job after the recruiter's phone screen?
So I have had two phone screens this week out of 10 applications and both have forwarded me to the hiring manager. Is it too early to get excited yet? How often does a recruiter forwarding to a hiring manager pan out to an actual job? For reference, I work in tech. In the past, since I have a fairly specialized skillset, getting the recruiter screen was always the hard part and I generally got a job offer after going through the process. But I suspect with all the tech layoffs, this is no longer the case and I want to be more realistic this time around.

A somewhat pleasant surprise.
A consultant working with my employer suggested she come on as my coach for a few hours a month, which caught me more than a little by surprise. I have previous experience in the type of work I'm doing, and she and I hold the same credentials. The consultant was initially brought on for a project that resulted in the creation of my role.
I half entertained the idea because I wasn't entirely sure it was something I was in a position to say no to. I was worried that she expressed some concerns that my boss may have expressed.
I mentioned it to my boss today during our 1:1, whose immediate reaction was, 'Sam (not their real name) is a character and has a reputation for being a flake.' Which made me immediately feel better. He then went on to say that he hadn't expressed any concerns but admitted that while he wasn't an expert in my field, he had no complaints, but that if she did share a potential gap, he wasn't equipped to identify at their next meeting that he would share it with me. He also said that if I felt like I needed coaching from this person or someone else, he would be happy to support me in that.
It was such a pleasant surprise to learn that this request had nothing to do with me and likely everything to do with this person trying to secure their own bag.
