Because of the Work from Home arrangement, my work has been focused on doing proposals for projects that can be funded by the office. In the course of writing and researching, I was able to come up with a training module that can be used to train other staff in other areas. Meanwhile, the official work that I submitted, the office told me that the budget has been re-aligned and therefore my proposals have been shelved. Now, with the training modules that I did, other peers are inviting me to conduct the training for their staffs. The boss has learned about this and he is now asking for a copy of the modules and said that I can only be given the travel order once I submit them.
I know I did the modules during the WFH arrangement, but what is the extent of the office's "ownership" of what I did? Should I submit "everything" (ex. slides, etc) or I can just forward the outline? Thank you for your insights!
