I have to get this off my chest, and hopefully get some advice. I recently quit my job as a clinic assistant because I was not a good fit for the position. In fact, I was so bad, despite giving my 100% (this is a sentiment my manager shared as well) that my probation was extended. My mental health began to deteriorate, ironic given that I worked in a psychiatric clinic, and I decided to leave for my own good and for the good of the team as well.
Now, I realise it would be best to get back into what I actually wanted to do: writing. Unfortunately, my first writing job only lasted 6 months. I joined just as COVID hit, and given the extremely travel heavy nature of the industry, the company couldn't afford to run on anything but bare bones.
I'm looking to start finding a completely remote job, either full time or freelancing full time and joining the gig economy. But I have absolutely no idea how to do it - it's such unfamiliar territory that I'm terrified of failing, of becoming broke and depending on my husband entirely for income.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much ladies!
