Two people in my group were recently promoted and they both gossip and make up lies about others. It is petty and shows their insecurities. I am looking for other opportunities because some of the gossip is about me. I regret accepting a position there and had no way to know that this …
My boss is the brother of the owner and VP of HR. About 2 1/2 years ago, I went to my boss, and told him I had had it with one of my assistants (I had two). She was constantly abrasive with our store personnel and even though I had been her supervisor for ten years and covered it on…
If the job market changes a lot of companies and some recruiters (probably more on the company side since a lot of recruiters are good at what they do and don't get enough credit) are going to be in big trouble because the people getting the jobs now will be leaving as soon as it …

Thanks everyone for the kind words and advice. My doctor filled out and signed an ADA accommodation form for WFH. It was denied by HR. My doctor said his corporation did the same thing and if they let one person stay at home then it was considered favoritism. So, he has filled out and signed the STD form for me. I submitted it and have been in analysis paralysis ever since. The stress is not helping my conditions. It is now going thru the process hopefully to an approval. I need the time to see if I can begin to heal with a reset to make it easier to return. Otherwise I will have to take LTD which isn’t enough for me to live on in my current home, luckily the STD is 100% pay. Now I’m feeling stuck and very nervous about my employment. I’ve been a loyal employee for over 24 years and have only 1 1/2 years to retirement. Thanks again for the honest opinions.

I have an ada accommodation through my work. I have epilepsy and got in a car accident, due to having a seizure while driving. I should be going in 2 days, but I go in 1 with other transportation. That is my accommodation.
You need to talk to your HR rep and ada company working with your employer to get the proper paperwork for a reasonable accommodation.
Go to your doctor and him/her sign the paperwork stating what/why you need it and can’t return to work.
Send or provide the paperwork back to the ada company and employer. They’ll either accept or deny it. This was just my experience.
