I recently got a position at my workplace to discuss diversity, equality, inclusion, and justice. With my past employers not being open-minded, to say the least, I am honored to have this opportunity to better the workplace.
However I'm nervous about the position too. Will I say too much? What if I come off as being too passionate about one topic and seem bias to my peers? What if the biased people in the group make more passive-aggressive comments against the solution to the issues discussed?
Does anybody have any advice on how to be confident speaking about what are considered "uncomfortable" topics?
Also what is the best way to discuss these topics to people who are purposely ignorant of particular issues, and how do I speak up against those people making passive-aggressive comments in the group?
