I feel like it's a lot easier to tell when an employee is toxic in the work place. While working from home, one of my employees has been slacking off more and more. They don't check in as often, or write elusive responses when I reach out.
I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and think it's about what's going on in the world--and I want to be empathetic to that. But it's affecting my team's work and I also want to make sure we're on track, of course. How do I reach out?
