Feeling sad after giving notice.
I was hired in a role in July. The start was extremely rocky and the onboarding process was basically nonexistent. I’m pretty out of my depth with the content of the position a lot of the time, which has made it feel like an uphill struggle.
My manager and I have also had quite a few small altercations where he snaps at me for no reason or blames me for others mistakes. it’s been a pretty disheartening experience as I already feel like I’m not succeeding.
I have also run a small business on the side for years. It’s been a nice and steady income boost. Over the last two months it has really started taking off and is surpassing my monthly income.
I’ve been so overwhelmed the last few weeks, and finally decided to give notice at my job.
Strangely and unexpectedly, I just feel really sad today and wondering if I made the right decision. I really enjoy all of ky coworkers and it is otherwise a nice work environment.
I was not expecting this reaction and am wondering if anyone can relate or provide insight.

Nobody can have everything and there may be things you legitimately will miss about the job but you sound at best ambivalent about it.
There is the famous line from Julius Caesar: "Iacta est aiea" You crossed a line so you have to just get on with it.
"Over the last two months it has really started taking off and is surpassing my monthly income." Sounds pretty good to me as an outsider. You don't have your past but It looks like you do have a future, doesn't it?
