So I'm currently recruiting for part-time roles in education. The role is pretty flexible and states explicitly in both the job title and the description that the applicant can choose to be fully remote, fully in person or a mix based on their preference. It's the same job type that I posted pre-Covid and would normally get 6 or so applicants within an hour. Two days later, we have zero applicants. I'm kind of shocked because I know employment isn't great right now and on top of it, we are offering the option for remote work.
I even made a point of adding that it was a great job for someone with a resume gap, a recent college grad, or someone over 60. Stated hourly rates are around $25.
Should I be zeroing in on any other details? Anyone else finding this to be the case?

I am having flashbacks from 2019! Back then, pre-pandemic, I was fiercely looking for a new job for eight months, many interviews, 3-4 rounds, making it to the finals, then poof! Ghosted, overqualified, or not selected. I am 55+ with tons of leadership experience. I got frustrated and said, "screw it. I will start my own business." Which I did.
I'm in the Global Business Travel industry. Then the Pandemic hit, allowing me to pivot to scaling my new business, which has turned out to be a nightmare, with tons of debt and no ROI to show for it. I hired and paid people who, apparently, were only there to take a paycheck after their unemployment ran out. All have been let go to extend my runway for the business.
As the owner, I have not taken a paycheck and am running low on funds. So, I am back in the job market, and it is happening all over again... lots of applications, overqualified, ghosted, blah blah blah. I have tried roles outside my industry, but still nothing. This is so disappointing that the over-55 job seeker is not valued in today's world!

I just registered as a driver in Uber and need to buy a used car quickly somewhere.
Does anybody know what to start with? I have already tried to ask a similar question here, but nobody was willing to help. Is this because I am a woman and you think I can't buy or drive a car?

And will participants be on camera? I'm getting over a cold and don't have a ton of energy today. Do I need to get dressed, LOL!

I work as a project engineer for a large company.
I have been at this company for about fifteen years. It has a strong "good old boys" network. My projects finish well and I consistently get good performance reviews. I have been passed over for several jobs where the winning candidates have been less qualified (education, experience, qualifications) and male. I have a good schedule (4 days a week) but there are minimal growth opportunities. Anyone have any ideas to improve the situation without moving? (P.S. HR is absolutely no help and not professional).

I had a progressive career with 22+ yrs of experience in a Senior Management position at a Global company.
Just before the Covid Pandemic in Jan 2020, I was laid off and could not restart my career right away due to my personal situation during the pandemic. During that time I focused on community service as well as getting more professional certifications. Now when I apply for positions (150+ jobs applied), I hardly get any responses, if any right away rejection letters without even any interviews. I have reviewed my resume with many peers and professionals. Everyone seems to agree that I have quite an impressive resume with impactful experience. So I am beginning to wonder if my gender and age (based on # of years of experience) are causing the filtering of my resume without even getting consideration for interviews. It could even be the break in my career. Any thoughts or advice for me?
