I'm one of the older members of my team and recently I've been consistently passed up for certain opportunities at work. What do they all have in common? They all involve some sort of technological component.
At first I thought it was just a coincidence, but these opportunities consistently go to the younger members of our team. I can't help but feel that this is ageist — yet I'm not sure how to stand up for myself. I know I'd need a little more time with these opportunities to become well adjusted to the technological aspects, but I'm willing to put in the work. How can I raise this issue with my boss?
