I've started a new job and learned that health insurance doesn't allow for out-of-network coverage. I've never heard of this before, but as I'm working for a hospital, I can understand. However, I'm not comfortable with this for many reasons and want to get my own coverage.
Has anyone experienced this and if so how did you approach this with HR? I'm hoping they provide an allowance if I choose my own coverage.

Laid off and trying to find anything.
My company sent an after hours teams meeting to say they were shutting down the office effective immediately at the beginning of the month. I have applied to many without anything in response. Almost done my degree so trying to find something in that which also aligns with what I have done in the past.

Sharing a Networking gift with our community!
A favorite resource I recommend to my clients, is the book, "The 20-minute Networking Meeting" by Marcia Ballinger and Nathan A. Perez. It's a short read and valuable for jobseekers AND those constantly expanding their networks.
If you like to highlight/tab favorite concepts or passages as you read (like I do), it can be a powerful refresher right before a meeting or interview.
Enjoy! Design a life you love.

Laid off and now I am about to accept a job not aligned with my career path while this market lets up, anyone else?
The market as we know is tough. Very competitive. I am running out of funds and I need a job. I have a little girl and a whole house to take care of, so I need to keep the show going. My most recent title has been, SaaS Manager. Loved it, because it paid well and I got to work from home and spend time with my baby. Now, I am laid off and can’t get a job to save my life. I get interviews, make it to the last rounds, and no offer. It’s rough! 6 months down and well….nothing. I finally decided to step back and get an executive assistant role (no shade to EA’s, it’s a respectable profession). I got a verbal offer and pretty much getting this role. I expect an official offer coming my way soon, I am grateful but I am taken a salary cut, position step back and going onsite. I will be continuing my search, in the meantime but I am worried about the gap and deciding wether or not to add this job on my resume to fill that gap, I am just lost and wonder if anyone had any advise on how to navigate this ?

I am a recent graduate looking for entry-level roles in Product and Project Management. Can anyone help me to give referral or give some tips for job search in current market conditions.

Should I Include Self-Employed Job Searcher on My Resume?
Everyone says it is better to have a job than not when searching for a new opportunity. I am unemployed since August 2023 and am working full time to find that next opportunity. If I go back to an office job, it will seriously cut my time spend searching for a new job.
Does it make sense to list my job search as a job on my resume? This is a full-time job, even more so than when I was working. There are a lot of things that go into job searching as well. What do you think?
