I was recently contacted by a former supervisor about a position at the company he currently works for to see if I was interested in applying.
The position is cross country from where I currently live and I am not interested in relocating at this time, so I turned him down with the caveat that if the job could be performed remotely, I might be interested. He asked that, if I were serious, to put together a proposal on remote work and he would consider it as I have the skill set he is looking for. The problem is, I don't really know where to start. I would be managing a small team and I have some ideas on how to do this remotely, but I have never written a proposal like this and am not sure of the format or the level of information I should include. Any advice is appreciated.
