What percentage would you say salary is for why you accept a job?
I read a lot about how people are often OK with a lower salary in exchange for a better working environment/benefits, but I want to know what everyone else thinks. For me, I think salary is 60% or more of the reason I take a job. I really like to have enough to make me feel safe/comfortable/able to enjoy life. On the other hand, I've had plenty of friends accept much lower paying jobs than I would because the company/mission seemed interesting or the work was cool.
