This is a question for all the recruiters and hiring managers out there:
Would you rather
1. Hire someone who just lost (or wants to leave) a current HR job - even if he/she doesn't have a PHR, a degree in HR or any professional certifications?
2. Hire a certified HR professional (PHR) who hasn't worked in traditional HR for some years, but wants to get back to it?
Lately I've seen a lot of posts about crappy things that happen at work, and when we comment "have you talked to HR" the OP tells us there is no HR or HR is in cahoots or HR is really just the CEOs admin, or HR is out the door or (worst of all) the crap is COMING FROM HR(!?!).
What's the deal? I loved working in HR, but circumstantially my career took me in other directions. Now, with a Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt, a PHR, a change management cert, and getting ready to sit for the PMP, I can't bribe someone to hire me back to their HR department, or even look at my resume.
What's the deal?
