Working at Intel

I love working at Intel! However, every company has Pro's and Con's. Intel has reached some significant milestones over the last 50 years and some of the most prominent include reaching full representation from a diversity standpoint and being the first tech company to reach full representation as it relates to technical females in various roles throughout the company and underrepresented minorities. We have closed the gender pay gap and we are upskilling our employees. As for cons we do not have a strong brand presence. For example, when we onboard we get very little swag. This may seem insignificant BUT people are so proud to work for a company like Intel and want to etc. during on-boarding to give people some stuff to wear around and promote the brand. Another con is how conservative Intel is as a tech company. We are not competitive when it comes to salary as it relates to our competitors like Apple, Google, facebook, and Microsoft although we are getting better. Intel provides us with a collaborative environment where we can share ideas and be empowered and accountable to be better and do better. The company is investing in learning and development of the employees and having more conversations around career growth. My advice is to do more to appeal to the new generation as they are our future. We must evolve!
