Favorite to-do list / project management app?

I'm actively looking for a good to do list / project management app. I used to use Things, but the version I have is outdated and I'm not sure I want to buy it again (it's fairly pricey, at $50 for Mac plus $10 for iPhone). Any good alternatives? I want cloud syncing (phone and computer) and ideally the ability to set multiple reminders for the same task.

Onenote has been my goto. I am able to set up different tabs and keep track of different projects. You can also choose who to share with, etc. But I know I have a lot more to learn about onenote that I could be using too!

I can't say it's technically a project management app but it can certainly be used as one by setting reminders. Try OneNote they have it for android and iphones and it's all free.

Most recently, I have been using Trello (it's free for one user and it doesn't show ads in the free version). It allows for multiple boards (I have one for work, one for my side-gig, one for the house and one for Christmas gifts). it syncs across the cloud. it does not allow for multiple reminders (or I have not been able to find that feature). I can't say it's the easiest on mobile that I have used -- it's perfectly fine, it's just does not have a super slick-mobile interface that a native mobile to-do app would have.
