What do you all think about having to take assessments during interviews?
I have over a decade of work experience in nonprofit accounting. I also have a master's degree in nonprofit management. I recently applied for a finance position with a nonprofit org. that I'm very interested in. We had a phone interview that went well, and as we were wrapping up the call, I was invited for an in-person interview. The interviewer on the phone, thoroughly explained the process to me. She stated that it would be a panel interview and told me specifically who I would meet with. She also stated that the interview would last about an hour and that there would be an assessment.
I know there are several different interview styles and tactics, and I find the process stressful. I understand the importance of finding the best candidate for the position, but I'm not sure how to prep for this assessment and I feel like I'm back in school.
