I work in sales ops for a performance based sales team, and all of our metrics are publicly shared (after being created and analyzed by me). I'm very close to the data, and recently we have fired several salespeople for "low performance", but they are performing at a higher level than others on the team. There were no other disciplinary issues or anything, just solely decided by "performance", since management came to me to ask for more data. The bigger issue for me about this is we have fired several people of color but the Caucasian people who have been performing at lower or equal levels to them have not been fired, and the Caucasian reps also have been getting more leads and help from management. I get that sales is all about numbers, but this doesn't make sense. I am a woman of color and am afraid to speak up. What do I do? Has anyone else dealt with something like this?
