Advice needed ☹️?
I work for a small family owned business who provides services to contractors.
Every other week we send emails to our customers advertising our services.
This is essentially how we advertise our services and biggest form of our $revenue.
Typically we work in teams to bounce off ideas that are aiming towards our contractors and clients.
Due to the pandemic we go into the office a few times a week in staggered schedules. Meaning, we don’t always see our colleagues and rely heavily on phones, emails or instant messages.
Things have worked well for the most part but on some instances requests through email or IM are somewhat ignored or delayed.
For example last week we had an order placed that required 6 contractors. The order was placed, payment was placed but approval to dispatch was delayed.
Thankfully I was not part of the team that handled the request- otherwise, it would have raised my anxieties.
Today, I was noticed that I am going to be part of an order to go out tomorrow- this is for many repairs.
I requested confirmation to send out the order from my supervisor who then requested that I speak to our boss to get the final approval.
I called the boss and no answer. So I IM’d him. He replied and requested that we add in the option for hourly or the total job as in a package. I went back and made the edits to the invoice to mail out. I then sent it to our boss and requested that he go over the invoice for edits and provide an approval if he is satisfied.
He read it and did not reply.
Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t get bothered because we would have about two weeks time to make adjustments but because this is an urgent matter that needs to be fixed starting tomorrow and through out the weekend I am anxious and irritated.
If I don’t send out the invoice order on time the the contractors can not begin their work.
Please provide advise
