I've been lucky to find volunteer opportunities in my area that follow along with my interests through Facebook groups.

Pick something that you care about and if you are slacking because you don't have time, realize that may be just where you are at. If you are slacking because of fear or an obligation that you do not want, then pick something little that fits with what you feel like and want to do like the above examples.

I work alot even tho Im part time. So i look for donation bins at the library and donate unusual things like cleaning chemicals and toilet paper. I make sure my customer service at work is top notch (I work retail) I will not bully a sale, I have given certain discounts if there has been fit issues and such, really just go out of my way to make people feel their best

From a volunteer perspective, I am most active in the United Way Women United organization and serve as a member of their Women’s Leadership Council. Women United was formed to inspire, educate and engage women to become actively involved in leadership, philanthropy, volunteerism and advocacy in support of United Way. I knew it was an organization that would tap into my desire to help educate and empower women so I joined. There are several United Way Women United groups all over. I strongly suggest getting involved with them! https://www.unitedway.org/women-united

I felt as you did and Google'd "volunteer opportunities" and something came up for my city. Some surprised me, as I never realized the need, such as a cancer treatment driver. There were adult programs, Habitat for Humanity, even something as simple as building cat trees for a cat shelter. What was really surprising is that they had filters based on availability, passion, and strengths.
