a parent and still sane!!

Question

Parenting is one of the toughest yet a very rewarding investment/job/task. You get to guide and begin thought processes in another human being. You get to change the world through your energy.. but it can be taxing and hard, but that's the trade off, why would I want to do such a great task as if it were a past time, let me leave you with one thought..if I do decide and get to be a parent let me decide to go all the way..

I'm a parent and sometimes I don't like it very much for all the reasons you say (its physically demanding at times -- i have young sons -- and its also not as emotionally interesting as other things I could be doing). I have never understood, to be honest, mothers or fathers that created a whole, satisfying life around just being a parent. Or that's sometimes how it seems from the outside. A lot of times, I just get bored doing repetitive parenting things...

I’m gonna be really honest, but first, I love my daughter so much, it’s ridiculous. But, yeah, she drives me up the wall! I had to put her in daycare because I don’t have the patience to parent every second of the waking and sleeping day. I was really starting to resent my husband getting to work in peace and sleep all night. It took a lot of coaxing for me to believe that sending her to daycare wasn’t giving up; it was making a good parenting choice for me.
