Ready. For. Fall.

I don't know if it's just me, but I haven't really gotten into the summer groove this year. The summer feeling just never made it's way to me. So now that we're nearing the end of August and about to jump into September, I am READY for fall. I'm ready for the crisp chill, fall fashion, changing leaves, halloween, and all the amazing food and drinks that autumn graces us with. While I love most squash, I have never really loved pumpkins. I don't like pumpkin pie and I've never been super into the PSL. HOWEVER, last season I tried this cocktail that was called "pumpkin spiced old fashioned" and when I tell you it was sensational.....it. was. SENSATIONAL. It truly changed my mind on "pumpkin spiced" anything. This season, I'm really looking forward to indulging in all things "pumpkin spiced". During the fall season, what are some of your favorite things to eat and drink?

Yess! Fall is my favorite season. I lived on the east coast for years and apple picking and cider were my favorite activities. I miss it so much.

yes I second that with Ciera Carpenter, summer didn't make a scratch here, I'm ready for the fireplace wood burning, pumpkins, and apple picking, the smell of holidays close by and the beautiful orange brown earth colors to emerge. I am ready for the fall and my son's birthday is in November too. He adores the change in weather, in scenery, and how the food gets better with the different pies.lol

I was born in the fall and I love the fall! I'm ready for chili and cornbread (Southern Thing). The fact that I can use the fireplace again gets me excited! Bring it on! :)

I was born in the fall too! November baby over here. I completely forgot about cornbread and chili. Now I'm even more excited for fall.

Couldn't agree with you more! I'm so excited for fall - not even for the food/seasonal drinks (never got into the whole PSL thing), but just for the weather and activities and clothing!

Completely! Fall activities are the absolute best. Last year my fiance and I missed out on going to the pumpkin patch, so this year it's definitely a priority.

Cider donuts are indeed delicious. And soon, it will be garage sale/flea market season. I love browsing through people’s castoffs and crafts. LOL. I should be downsizing, but I love shopping while enjoying a gorgeous autumn day. ????

Just a ton of things here, I am totally a fall lover. This year I found out the meds I added in fall interact to cause extreme heat sensitivity. Yay. Me. Anyway, after a long, HOT, miserable summer I am glad to lounge in my sweaters, black cat at my side, with some knitting and pumpkin coffee. Or apple cider. I go for all the fall festivities. Pumpkin carving, hiking, photography of leaves, seasonal donuts (cider donuts are LIFE. but pumpkin cannot be topped.) candles, scarves and sweaters, spooky tunes, boots! all the goodies. LOL I go all out. Also, if you have not, I encourage you to IMMEDIATELY make brown butter. Work that in with a maple flavored something and you are gonna looove this season.

I am definitely going to make brown butter! I've never done it before, but it sounds incredible. I AM JUST SO EXCITED FOR FALL!

I love ginger! So honey ginger bread, clove spiced anything, mulled wine and cider, cider donuts (yum) and MAPLE.

I had mulled wine for the first time ever last season! I didn't even know it was a thing prior to that, but it's so good. I've also never had cider donuts, but that is absolutely something I need to try.

Hot fresh apple cider. Looking forward to a trip to Delicious Orchards in the near future. I’m not a fan of pumpkin, though I’ve never tried a pumpkin cocktail. But roasted acorn squash with butter and brown sugar is an autumn treat, and soups are high on my list in the fall.

Oh yes! I am definitely looking forward to apple cider. I'm not familiar with Delicious Orchards. Are they only in one location? Roasted acorn squash with butter and brown sugar sounds SO amazing. I've never tried it, but it's officially on my list.

As far as I know they only have the one location. They're a fancy food store and farm stand with pick-your-own fruit in the proper seasons. They make their own apple cider and donuts and they're hands down the best ever. Though I did look at their website and it looks like they ship... which I may have to take advantage of this year.

I believe they have only one location, in Colts Neck, NJ. Soon it will be apple-picking time there. ???

I'm now wondering if there's more than one Delicious Orchards with the best apple cider (and apple cider donuts) ever made...

The Delicious Orchards I’m referring to is in Colts Neck, NJ. I don’t know if there are more than one - but there should be, imo!

Yeeeess! I grew up in Monmouth County (family is still there) and Delicious Orchards trips for cider and donuts always meant fall. I still make my mom take me when I come home in the fall.
