FGB'ers who are married — what do you wish you could tell your single friends?

Here’s mine: when I say I need to run a plan by my husband before committing to it, I am NOT asking for his permission — I’m showing him respect as my partner! (A single friend “jokingly” told me recently that she didn’t understand why my husband had to sign off on our plan for a girls’ weekend out of town.) What about you all — is there anything about married life you wish your single friends knew?

My advice is to stay connected to your girlfriends even if they are single. You never know where life will lead you and you can be happily married but don’t need to keep all your eggs in the hubby basket!

Hmm, I can see where that'd make sense if you had kids...but if you don't I do see it as a weird permission-asking thing. I think what I'd want my single friends to know is that you can be VERY lonely and married; so, don't think that marriage solves any problems you had before your relationship.
