best time of day to meditate

For all of you who meditate: I'm new to the practice and I'm wondering what your favorite time of day to meditate is. I had been trying to meditate before bed, because I have a lot of trouble sleeping, but recently I started to instead meditate every week day once I get home from work, in an effort to help me relax and have a more clear separation of work and home time (I am in the habit of going home and immediately working again, or at least doing something productive that's not fun or relaxing). Has anyone else meditated at this time? What time works best for you?

When I can, I love to in the middle of the afternoon. It's the perfect way to restart and break up my day.

I've tried to do this during the day but i'm just not there yet. For me I like to mediate before bed.

I love meditating, so High-five :) Anytime, like there are 24 hrs, and meditation is for your body, for your soul. It relaxes your mind, gives you more clarity to look at things (I believe so). After music, this is my next to relax. I carry my string of beads with me, sometimes commuting is long and instead of diving into my phone, I prefer chanting (silently). Mostly, I do it early morning and late evening after I am done with the whole day errands. I sit, and meditate, it really helps flush out all stress and sleep well.
