My employer offers 12 weeks unpaid maternity leave. I am 15 weeks pregnant. Our company has been purchased by a larger company and open enrollment begins in early November and will begin in January 2019. I have contacted my HR department but they can not give me any information about the new maternity leave policy. If I report my pregnancy now and ask to take my leave near my delivery date, February 1, will the current policy be honored or will the new policy be implemented?
My concern is the new policy may or may not be better than my current one.
