Any experience? Use what you need vacation

Any tips or thoughts on PTO/vacation policies that are "use what you need"? I've been offered a position at a company tbat uses this kind of policy, but I've never experienced it before. Is it too good to be true? What have been your experiences? Tips for this type of environment? TIA

If you haven’t accepted the job, maybe you can clarify what it really means. Also, keep us posted if you did! Congrats on the offer.

So do you technically have unlimited vacation? I’ve had this benefit for every place I’ve worked and I think this perk is amazing... but I know of colleagues who’d prefer more of a structured system. In my experience, some use it to avoid being burnt out or travel. Others don’t use it at all. It’s healthy to get away from work and have you/family/friends time so hopefully the work culture truly supports taking off time,

Yes, unlimited vacation and sick time. My only concern is being preventing from taking time because none is "mine." How do you make it work?
