Two weeks into my new job, I was invited to sit-in during the company (all-male) informal weekly Sales meeting.

A half dozen young and inexperienced but eager male Sales team members listened attentively, the Sales Director offered this tip for handling Prospect cold calls which were made to mostly women: "Sometimes, you know, you can just tell it's That Time of the Month. You're not going to get anywhere with your call so cut the call short and make a note to call back in two weeks."
