The 40 hour work week...
...it's no longer 40 hours, it's more like 35. And it's 35 because people are going for walks throughout the day, they are taking better care of themselves, they are working in non-traditional locations.
And it's better for the employee.
My organization, requires a step-away-from -the-screen break every hour.

I like the idea of a shorter week and even looked into some job models of the 4 day work week. Of course, I believe these kinds of jobs are industry specific but I do think they could work well for many industries. My current job I'm not working for 8 hours straight, I have plenty of rest breaks that are great for my mental health and my coworkers feel the same, as they are more relaxed at work with frequent breaks. Of course some people do take advantage of the breaks but it reflects on their own productivity and not on others.

No way in hell they are public accountants. We'd be lucky if we only did 40 hours a week. There are not enough hours in a day to complete the workload they give us.
