Anyone here go from owning to renting? Or, from renting to owning (and regretting it)?

I used to own a house and now that I don't, I'm actually much happier renting. Some of the small headaches of homeownership took up more time and energy that I ever knew. I also feel like I spend much more time with my friends rather than hanging out at home now that I don't have a whole house to disappear into. Anyone else have this experience?

I went from renting to owning and I feel the opposite way! When I rented I felt like I was just throwing (LOTS of) money away ever month. Of course it requires a lot of money to buy an apartment, but I view it as a more more valuable investment of my money.
