is there any way to change careers without taking a huge pay cut?

I'm in my early 30s and want to shift to a new industry, but I really don't want to go from being a manager to being an entry level employee. There is definitely overlap btwn what I'm doing now and what I want to do, and I have a lot of transferrable skills, but I'm worried that any hiring manager won't consider me an experienced hire because I am shifting to a new career path. Any thoughts or advice??
