Has anyone been to Ireland before?

My friends are planning a trip to Europe and we're thinking about Ireland. My sister has been and she told me there's not much to do there. Even another friend didn't have much good things to say about it. Has anyone been? If you have, what was your experience there? What was the most memorable thing you've done there?

I LOVED Ireland! My daughter and I, she was 5 at the time, rented a car and drove all around. We loved all the old castles, churches, and museums. The land is beautiful! Spend one day in Dublin then go explore.

I've been a few times and you have to visit the Cliffs of Moher! So stunning. I spent a decent amount of time in Cork (in the south) and it's a small city, but a lot of fun (check out Oliver Plunkett's if you go). I'd also recommend Galway, all of County Kerry and specifically Dingle in Kerry. It's more of a touristy city, but it's super cool. Dublin is nice but I agree, don't spend all your time there because there's so much more to see outside the city. If you have time, go to Northern Ireland too. I saw some of the most amazing natural beauty up there like Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-rede, etc. Easily one of the most incredible places I've ever been.

Ive been recently! I did just 4 days. Fun thing to do is a cheap $50 bus tour to see the Cliffs of Moher and Galway.

I have been one time and we saw a gaelic football game which was good, and also did a trip to Galaway. If I were to recommend Ireland I would say definitely don't spend all your time in Dublin.

You're invited.
