Favorite airplane snacks?

Do you pay 3x the price for snacks at the airport (and eat them before takeoff), or do you hit Walgreens first? Or do you have a DIY recipe for healthy snacks? Inquiring minds want to know! Well, I want to know - I fly out Friday. :)

Prep my own snacks (and bring my own water bottle!). A lot of people suggested my go-tos already, but I'd also add oatmeal/dehydrated soup cups. Planes can give you hot water!

Thank u for all of your suggestions, ladies. I skipped the airport food shenanigans and packed 70% off Xmas snacks from Walgreens. Reese's trees for the win!

I usually opt for some protein and fruit, like jerky or jerky sticks and then apples or grapes or anything fun. I flew with homemade guac and hardboiled eggs once and I made a huge mess so I learned a lesson there.

I usually buy at the airport, but I second the apple/nuts suggestion if a healthy and cost-effective option is desired.

I prep my own snacks. For example, an apple, hummus, carrots, some cheese, Skinnypop and some nuts. I got inspired by the Starbucks protein packs.

Definitely DIY it - nuts and dark chocolate chips are my go to because they aren't messy but fill you up enough to get to the next meal and it's a semi-healthy snack. Cliff Bars are also a good, clean and easy option.

I prep ahead of time...my go-to snacks are almonds or almond / m&m mixture. Depending on the flight, I also try to pack an apple (granny smith for the tart and crunch) to get me to the next meal.

I rarely ever buy candy unless it's before a flight. My guilty pleasure is purchasing something sweet like Sour Patch Kids or Twizzlers. I usually buy at the airport... because that's when I have the craving!
