Confession: I’ve never tried dry shampoo.

I have thicker hair, and wash it almost daily because I love to workout. My hair gets sweaty and I can’t seem to sit with it. But now I’m injured and can’t workout for a while so I’m debating on going days without washing my hair. Thoughts? Are you a fan of dry shampoo: yay or nay and why?

LOVE dry shampoo! I'll use it on clean hair at times for that extra texture.

It's great for extending your hair for another day before washing! I have thick hair as well and I love the Not Your Mother's dry shampoo. I heard its best to spray it and let it sit for a few minutes before rubbing it in and brushing it.

I have tried it before, but it never stuck. Then I got vivid color and my thinner hair gets greasy so fast, but you can’t wash as often. I tried a new brand for me (Batiste) and as soon as I did, I thought, “ohhhhhhhhhh I get it!” Consider me a convert.

I'm not a big fan, but you should try it and see if it works for you!

I too have never tried dry shampoo, and actually spoil myself with hair appointments so rarely wash my own hair, but recently due to shoulder surgery, had to endure not going to the salon and it wasn't so bad to not wash my hair as often as usual.

I’ve had so many people tell me to try it and I still haven’t yet. My step-daughter said it didn’t feel like it worked for her, but every one of my friends has said it does. Some ladies here mention trying the spray instead of powder, so it prob depends on the kind you try.

yay - I have really fine hair that gets dirty really suddenly. I know that sounds odd but it will feel clean and then it just goes flat and greasy. Dry shampoo gives it some life again. I recommend a clear spray, powder tends to get cakey and it's hard to get it to blend with your hair color. The old school brand Batiste works pretty well.

I also have thick hair, and have tried dry shampoo, and I don't LOVE it. That being said, I haven't explored too, too much so definitely interested in hearing people's recommendations for brands!

Dry shampoo and blowdry to set it, always makes me feel like I washed it that day. On day 3, I dry shampoo and put it up in a bun.
