Maternity/Paternity leave

My company currently offers zero Paternity leave and an archaic Maternity leave. We recently discussed proposing new policies at our Women in Leadership meeting; however, the conversation excluded men. What's the best way to start a constructive company wide dialogue?

Pull in the Dads in the company! I've found that everytime we have one of these conversations, if we pull in a dad, they can relate to what they need!

I agree, reach out to HR and see what the rule and regulations are. Also, maybe see if you can start a committee with 2 people from each department male and female to meet and collaborate. Only requirement is that they have to be a parent

Reach out to HR rather than the whole company and see if they can help you put information together. And make sure you have suggestions and some information on cost available if you're making a pitch to the boss. Good luck!

Does the whole company need to weigh in with improvement in benefits? How about getting leadership to buy-in and just have the policy changed? Just get on the boss's calendar!
