What was the last garment or accessory you wore that you regretted?

I travel a lot and recently wanted to bring some of my nicer aka irreplaceable jewelry with me on my most recent trip, but told myself no. I still regret wearing and bringing some of my favorite pieces with me on a trip because I left them at an Airbnb never to be seen again.

Every once in awhile I forget that I have a DD cup size and I’ll purchase a sundress or halter top that you cannot wear a bra with, and I pretend that it doesn’t matter and I should be able to go braless god damnit! I put on the article and my determination to wear it sinks like a stone and back it into the closet it goes.

I bought a stunning pair of platform sandals from Prada as a "congratulations to me" on a job I'd landed. I've only worn them twice since then (2016). They sit out of the box on a shelf in my closet, as a reminder to wear them. But I never do, they're just too high for every day, and too impractical to wear to work. Ouch!

OMG, yes. Jimmy Choo. Worst shoe purchase ever. Lesson learned.

Spanx- sometimes they're just not worth the discomfort!

I always regret wearing bad shoes. No matter how cute they are, if there's a sliver of a chance they'll pinch or rub, I try to avoid because it's always a terrible week after when you're trying to heal from them.

I am notorious for losing earrings so now only purchase earrings at a reasonable price from every new country I travel to and if I lose them, at least I don't feel bad in the same way as I did when I lost a diamond earring.

I spent more money than I care to admit on vintage PJs that were a total impulse buy and are too delicate to wear without stressing over it!

Then just wear them until they wear out! I have too many "nice things" that get unworn for fear of delicacy or durability, and then they go out of style and end up sitting in a box in storage.

Patterned socks! Oh, so cute, I thought. Until I caught my boss looking at them with a less-than-impressed look on her face.

Patterned socks are pretty mainstream, I say keep wearing them!

I bought a dress that I thought was cute when I first tried it on, but being that I have a larger chest, I didn't realize it actually would hang on me like a tent. Photos always help! haha

a poorly fitting bra... they seem so right in the morning, but then by 11am, I'm miserable and stuck with it for the rest of the day.

Agree. And now am committed to the best bra I could find in different colors. I am a C-cup and love Simone Perele. Worth the investment!

same here re shoes... my feet got ruined when I wore a new pair of shoes in the blistering heat. Dumb move on my part, lesson learned.

The heat can destroy a good pair of shoes! I'm with you.
