So, there I was, lifting three full-grown dead bodies.
One at a time. Into a big vat of lye.
Random thoughts came to mind.
“Wow, I amazed I can lift big dead bodies.”
“Oh, look, there is a yoga studio next door.”
As the bodies disappeared beneath the surface, I wondered,
“How long does it take for a body to decompose in lye?”
My dreams point fingers at my stress level as quickly as a tattle-tale toddler.
My stress-revealing dreams always involve one or more of the following:
1. Running for a plane,
2. Being distraught about packing or having the right clothes.
3. Losing keys, wallet, tickets.
4. And you guessed it, harming random people.
I have learned to pay close attention to these stress signals.
We all have “tells” to show us when we are out of balance.
For some, it might be sleeplessness, irritability, loss of focus or short-term memory, pain, hormone symptoms, loss of appetite, massive appetitive, decreased libido, or fatigue.
If you can connect the dots, it empowers you to prioritize what will help calm your delicate and sensitive system.
Ask yourself – “What do I need more of right now?” (Breathing, movement, friendship, whole food, calendar-clearing, sleep, meditation.)
Take time to honor yourself with action toward the answer.
Stay safe this week.
