I have been feeling rather stagnant in my current role and have been wanting a change. However, I've been getting discouraged looking at job postings. It seems like more and more, organizations want you to have an ultra specific degree or these insane skillsets. When I compare my resume to what organizations want, it just feels like I'm listing out a bunch of soft skills and accomplishments, but it may not meet their posted qualifications and I would prefer not to lie or overinflate my true skills. Additional schooling is out of my budget and my workplace has reduced MUCH of its continued education and education assistance due to budget cuts and continued poor fiscal performance. Because I already have a bachelor's, and coursework towards a master's degree, I don't qualify for a lot of grants and scholarships and I cannot go back to school because I have no more financial aid remaining. I am open to suggestions on how to reduce student loan debt, create additional skills without returning to school, or ways to change my career path and goals. Please help! It will be greatly appreciated.
