A recruiter reached out to me about basically my dream job around Christmas.
After 9 interviews, including a one hour presentation to the C-suite, she called to tell me that they loved me but they decided to change the job description late last night and hire a more senior role (this was the day after the presentation.) I'm pretty crushed, but did I also dodge a big mistake? Also a bit worried they have my presentation where I lay out my vision for the role and plans for the first 6 months. Is it normal for startups to change their minds on the function of the role so late in the process?
