How to handle the dreaded fired questions on applications?
I've been let go a few times throughout my 30-year career and. Twice, I asked them to fire me so I could get unemployment benefits during my search and the other, I left on my own as I knew it wasn't working out...
Job applications that ask if you've ever been fired, are you truthful? I don't want to lie but are you automatically ruled out if you admit the truth? I'd appreciate knowing how others handle this issue as well as anyone from HR about applicants being forthcoming and then their chances regarding being moved forward. Thank you!
