I work at a 55+ Independent living apartment community. I made a judgment call earlier this week regarding involving my boss on a vacation day when several of the residents (12, I think) organized and participated in a "get together" in an outdoor common area. While not specifically prohibited, it was brought to my attention "since it was a common area, I should have known" than to allow it. I am torn because now I am "in hot water" despite having no attachment to it. I apologized already for not involving her, but still feel things are tenuous. Any insightful advice appreciated.
