I didn’t double-check my attachments (and what I accidentally sent instead)

Last week, I wrote a report on a software bug and THOUGHT I attached videos of the error occurring. This report was circulated around top honchos at my company + all of the engineering team. A day later I got an email from my colleague with the subject line “did you mean to send that?” It turns out, I had accidentally attached the wrong videos to the report. The first video was me eating ice cream with friends and the 2nd was a family game night video -- which is clearly irrelevant to the bug and personal videos I definitely didn’t care to share to the company. Note to self: Don’t send a company-wide email via my phone. And double-check my attachments! I’ve been enjoying reading other funny/embarrassing moments other FGB’ers have had with work so thought I’d share for more entertainment!

I don't recommend using your phone for sending any type of work related attachments. I'm a recruiter and you should see some of the attachments I receive, that aren't resumes!

Depending on the attitude of your company, you probably gave everyone a good laugh, Hopefully, they all chalked it up to SIP fatigue and cut you some slack! I'm sure the videos were much more entertaining than the video of the bug!

This is just too funny and a great post to put a smile on my face! At least they were nice wholesome videos that most people would appreciate! Family game night is the best!

Don't feel too bad, it could've been a NSFW video rather than something easily laughed away.

Oh my gosh - We've all been here. Acknowledge, maybe add in some self-deprecating (depending on your audience), and move on.

This is why I hate the new larger phones. They allow us to confuse what can and should be done on a phone instead of a larger device that allows us to actually see what we’re doing ... but that’s just me.

I would think that someone would have asked you to resend the email with the correct attachments. I would have laughed it off if I received this. I would have just resent this with a joke about ice cream and family game night. Then I would not use a phone to send/conduct business ever again. I would use a separate item for work and one for pleasure but that is me. I know someone will say it will be ok to use a phone. But I would not take that chance again.

Nothing you can do except send the correct attachment and recommend the Fudge Ripple.
