I lost my job in June 2020, and started a new one today.
During my interviews for this new job, I was told that my day could start at 9AM or 10AM, it sounded very casual and up for discussion. However, my boss just wrote to me this evening stating that work starts at 9AM (in a tone that made it sound...not negotiable).
I know it is only an hour's difference, but I have always struggled with getting up that early - I am a night-owl and much prefer to start at 10AM! Should I speak up and reference the earlier discussion? Or am I spoiled? I have worked in the arts, and it's been fairly routine for me to have a 10AM start time.
