I needed to get this out because there it is extremely frustrating. I had a meeting with an organization where I am the client in the circumstance. I have told them several times previously on my expectations for a particular initiative. I absolutely dread going onto meeting with them because I find them to be aggressive and closed-minded.
On the last call I had with them, they completely turned down what I had asked them to accomplish and said they've been doing this for 30 years (I am in Lead role, but I am in my mid-twenties and look young) and they do not want to do that. I found their comments to not only be insulting, but belittling and rude.
They may not have meant it in a rude way, although that is how I had taken it. I understand things may have been successful for them in the past, but my ask for them was simple, direct, and I have seen success in it previously.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Or have I taken it the wrong way?
Do I send them an email saying I appreciate their suggestions, although these are my expectations? Advice is welcome : )
