I spent seven years working on my masters in a field, landed what I thought was a dream job just before covid hit. In the three months I was there the job changed drastically because of covid and every single support system that we had to care for our homeschooled children vanished. I quit. In addition, my field is rapidly vanishing.
Once my children graduate in 10 years, I'll want to reenter the workforce full-time in a different field. However, I'll be nearly 50. In the meantime, I'd love to do something more mentally stimulating that being a Shipt shopper. Thoughts about gig work or entering the workforce at 50?
