I am so tired of the rejection and tomorrow's interview seems like such a great position. I am trying hard to stay confident but it is not easy, since I have been rejected for so many roles.
Part of me wants to celebrate and jump up and down, and then the other part of me is cautiously optimistic. The offer is contingent upon a successful background check. I have a misdemeanor back in 2009 when I was young and stupid. This misdemeanor has nothing to do with banking, theft, …

This is what you need to do. Start looking for a job close to your house. After this, do not take jobs events personally. Your employer pays you for the work that you accepted before. I know that things are not working the way you want. In my experience, almost nothing works the way we expected. If you can survive at this time with this employer, tough it out until you get a better job.

others might disagree, but I think you should pass on this one....your time is valuable, and so is their time. You need to be honest with yourself and others: you stated that you don't think it's a good fit. You stated that they've sent you confusing messages (moving on with others, and now an opportunity to tour the place). You stated you don't have transportation to get there (and Uber would be 50% of the cost??)- In my opinion, if you really want the job---then it doesn't matter whether you are first or 10th on their hiring list- YOU WANT THE JOB. But, it doesn't sound like you want the job anyway (which is fine, but you need to be HONEST with yourself). They are going back and forth, and so are you....Yikes. Be honest with yourself and move from there.
