When is a job is no longer worth the compensation?
hello community - I am currently at a crossroad and could really use any perspectives!
Having been through the 2008 market turbulence, I have always prioritized to work my hardest and safeguard my position. However - this time around, now with nearly 20 years of experience in the corporate world, I am burnt out, feeling under valued, and taken advantage of since I am able to work efficiently.
I will state that I have a fairly good salary (although, having pay transparency - the comp is well below what men make within my firm).
Given the current market, is staying at a job worth the sacrifice of sanity?

It sounds like you should start looking elsewhere, but unless you have a LOT of savings and/or a spouse earning enough to support you both, it seems perilous to leave a job without another offer. If you have some vacation time, it sounds like you could use a vacation. That could clear your head and help you figure out what you ultimately want and whether you're truly tired of your current company or you were just plain tired. You could send out a couple of resumes and just casually start looking for other employment while also taking some time to travel or relax at home.
