Ask to see the benefit package, and also many companies are now highlighting their maternity/paternity leave on their websites, in their benefits space.

It shouldn’t be a big deal to just ask your HR contact for information about the benefits package. That should describe maternity/short-term disability benefits. It sounds like you’re pre-offer, so I personally would not ask explicitly about mat benefits (especially if you’re currently pregnant).
You should also check Glassdoor, the company’s careers page, and just try googling the company’s name and the words benefits, maternity, and handbook. Usually this stuff is spelled out in the employee handbook, and I’ve stumbled across employee handbooks while hunting for company info before.
