I’m curious if others experience noisy co workers even management asking why you called out. And what do you say? I’m personally starting to find it annoying. Does anyone else find it annoying and what do you say?

I am so tired of the rejection and tomorrow's interview seems like such a great position. I am trying hard to stay confident but it is not easy, since I have been rejected for so many roles.
Part of me wants to celebrate and jump up and down, and then the other part of me is cautiously optimistic. The offer is contingent upon a successful background check. I have a misdemeanor back in 2009 when I was young and stupid. This misdemeanor has nothing to do with banking, theft, …

Keep asking... did you also interview with the Board, if they are a non-profit? There may be more hurdles to jump over. Don't let up on the opportunity, follow up next week asking when they will be ready for next steps...

Hi,
OP here. I never had the opportunity to interview. The organization hired a recruiting firm, but I was ghosted by the recruiter for weeks. They kept rescheduling our meetings and then not showing up. As a result, I withdrew my candidacy and sought feedback on whether I should reach out to the organization that is looking to fill this role. I believe I’m not the only candidate who has experienced this issue with the recruiter.

Have you gone to their website and checked their staffing page? I assume this is a non-profit, so their executives and board of directors are usually listed, as transparency is essential, if not mandated. If you can't find a website or the staff isn't listed, this is a huge red flag for a ghost or scam job. Also, check to see if the position is posted there. I've heard that some third-party recruiters post these jobs to build a candidate pool, but that is a tactic I wouldn't trust in any way. As for contacting the company, if an HR person, office manager, or director of operations is listed, those would be the ones to contact if you feel so inclined.
