Quantcast
I go from idea to execution by physically writing my goals down, mind mapping and in some instances- sketching. •My article on Forbes.com wasn’t an accident. •Becoming a College and Career Readiness Adjunct Professor didn’t just happen. •Publishing multiple online career courses for women was intentional and deliberate. Dedicate 15 min and give yourself the gift of brainstorming, mind mapping, brain dumping, goal setting or writing your BIG, BOLD vision. I’m looking forward to it on this beautiful morning ..... with a cup of peach tea of course ?. #StopSittingOnYourAsk #PowHerMoves #PlayBigger | Fairygodboss

YES! Nothing happens by accident -- your hard work and planning is what makes it happen. You can't get someplace if you're not clear on the destination. In addition to planning my day, week, month and quarter (yes -- I love to plan) I note what worked, what didn't work, and any ahas as to what I will do differently. This kind of information really helps me super-power getting to my goals.

Totally agree Mimi, especially with the lessons learned. If we’re not careful, we’ll repeatedly work in reverse without that level of awareness which no one has time for in 2020!

Thanks for this post! I just looked up mind mapping and I'm getting a lot of hits for mind mapping software, but I reckon I could just do it in a journal. Would love to hear how you go about mind mapping. It sounds like it's about organizing your thoughts so is this something you do after brainstorming or doing a brain dump?

Hi Brandi! A mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information; it shows relationships among pieces of the whole. I typically place my goal in the center and map strategy, actions steps from there. Google mind mapping templates, PDFs or apps depending on your preference.

love it!! It's something about actually writing down my goals and being able to mark them off when they are done that is so satisfying.
